Field Interviewer – Kirkcaldy

About the role

As a Field Interviewer you will visit households in the Kirkcaldy/Anstruther area to conduct face‑to‑face research interviews on topics such as health, housing and transport. Using a tablet or laptop you will guide conversations that capture real experiences of daily life in Britain.

Key responsibilities

• Knock on doors and introduce yourself to residents who have been pre‑contacted by letter.
• Conduct structured interviews, recording responses accurately on a digital device.
• Manage your schedule to meet weekly interview targets while adhering to safety and data‑protection protocols.
• Report any issues or refusals to the project manager promptly.

Required profile

• Valid UK driving licence and sole use of a car.
• Class 1 business insurance for vehicle use.
• Right to work in the UK and willingness to complete a DBS check.
• Reliable home broadband and a laptop or tablet with a camera.
• At least 18 hours of availability per week and flexibility for evenings and weekends.

Required skills

• Comfortable using basic technology (tablet or laptop) for data entry.
• Strong verbal and written English communication.

What we offer

• £20‑£30 per interview (average hourly rate £15.12 including holiday pay).
• Admin fees, holiday pay (12.1%), travel time compensation (£4.68 / hour) and mileage reimbursement (36p / mile up to 10 000 miles).
• Performance bonuses (£250 after launch and at two‑month intervals).
