Field Interviewer – Luton

About the role
You will be out in the community, visiting households to carry out face‑to‑face research interviews on topics such as health, housing and transport. The role is field‑based, not desk‑based, and offers flexible part‑time hours that can fit around other commitments.
Key responsibilities
- Visit households in the Luton/Arlesey area to conduct face‑to‑face research interviews on important social topics.
- Use a tablet or laptop to record responses, ensuring data quality and completeness.
- Knock on doors, manage refusals, and maintain a professional, courteous presence.
- Travel to assigned locations, log mileage and travel time, and claim reimbursements as required.
Required profile
- Valid UK driving licence and sole use of a car with Class 1 business insurance.
- Right to work in the UK and willingness to complete a DBS check.
- Reliable home broadband and a laptop or tablet with a camera.
- Minimum 18 hours per week availability, with flexibility for evenings and weekends.
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
Required skills
- Comfortable using basic technology (tablet, laptop, data‑entry software).
What we offer
- £20‑£30 per interview plus admin fees, holiday pay and travel reimbursements.
- Average hourly rate of about £15, with bonuses after the first launch and at two‑month intervals.
- Flexible part‑time schedule that can be fitted around other commitments.
