Field Interviewer – North London

About the role

You will visit households in North London to conduct face‑to‑face research interviews on topics such as health, housing and transport. Using a tablet or laptop you will guide the conversation, record responses and ensure data quality. The role is part‑time and field‑based, requiring you to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Key responsibilities

• Knock on doors and arrange interviews with residents who have received a prior letter.
• Conduct structured interviews using a tablet/laptop, capturing accurate responses.
• Record travel time and mileage according to company policy.
• Maintain professional and courteous interaction, even when households decline.
• Submit completed interview data promptly to the research team.

Required profile

• Valid UK driving licence and sole use of a car.
• Class 1 business insurance for the vehicle.
• Right to work in the UK and willingness to undergo a DBS check.
• Reliable home broadband and a personal laptop or tablet with a camera.
• Minimum 18 hours availability per week and flexibility for weekdays, evenings and weekends.
• Strong verbal and written English.

Required skills

• Ability to operate a tablet or laptop and basic software for data entry.
• Familiarity with GPS or navigation tools for travel planning.

What we offer

• £20‑£30 per completed interview (average hourly rate about £15.12 including holiday pay).
• Admin fees and holiday pay (12.1 %).
• Travel compensation at £4.68 per hour and mileage reimbursement at 36 p per mile (up to 10 000 miles).
• Performance bonuses of £250 after launch and at two‑month and four‑month milestones.
• Flexible part‑time schedule.
