Field Interviewer – Part‑time (East London)

About the role
As a Field Interviewer you will visit households in East London to conduct research interviews on topics such as health, housing and transport. Using a tablet or laptop you will guide conversations that capture real experiences of daily life in Britain.
Key responsibilities
- Knock on doors and introduce yourself to residents who have been pre‑notified about the study.
- Conduct face‑to‑face interviews using a tablet or laptop, ensuring accurate data capture.
- Record interview outcomes and submit them through the provided system.
- Manage travel to and from interview locations, logging mileage and travel time.
- Maintain professionalism and confidentiality throughout each interaction.
Required profile
- Valid UK driving licence and sole use of a car.
- Class 1 business insurance for the vehicle.
- Right to work in the UK and willingness to complete a DBS check.
- Reliable home broadband and a laptop or tablet with a camera.
- At least 18 hours available per week with flexibility for weekdays, evenings and weekends.
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
Required skills
- Comfortable using basic technology (tablet or laptop) for data entry.
What we offer
- £20‑£30 per interview (average hourly rate £15.12 including holiday pay).
- Admin fees and holiday pay (12.1%).
- Travel time compensation (£4.68 / hour) and mileage reimbursement (36p / mile up to 10,000 miles).
- Performance bonuses (£250 after launch and at two‑month intervals).
