Field Manager – Lift Installation Projects

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Field Manager to lead the delivery of a major lift installation programme in London. The project comprises 14 high‑spec, high‑speed lifts across 23 floors, using a Destination Control System. You will be the on‑site point of contact, ensuring the programme stays on schedule and meets quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day site operations for the lift installation programme.
• Coordinate and manage subcontractors, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Schedule and monitor delivery of lift components, place orders with local suppliers and manage material shortages.
• Conduct site surveys, perform quality assurance checks and produce fortnightly progress reports.
• Lead fortnightly safety walks, PPE audits and toolbox talks.
• Participate in daily DAB meetings and attend fortnightly coordination meetings with the client, principal contractor and lift consultant.

Required profile

• Based in the UK with the ability to commute to London daily.
• Fluent English with strong communication skills across engineers, clients and consultants.
• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Lift Installation.
• Proven experience in new lift installations or modernisation projects.
• SMSTS or SSSTS certification (preferred).
• First Aid certification (preferred).
• Current knowledge of lift regulations and standards.
