About the role
Join a respected scientific equipment manufacturer as a Field Service Engineer based in Derby. You will provide on‑site installation, maintenance and testing of specialised fume cupboards and cabinets for education, medical and technical customers across the UK.
Key responsibilities
- Install and service Class 1 and Class 2 fume cupboards and cabinets.
- Carry out DOP (Diffusion of Protective Gas) testing to ensure compliance.
- Provide responsive field support to customers within a regional area, with occasional overnight stays.
- Maintain accurate service records and report any issues to the central team.
Required profile
- Proven experience as an installation or field service engineer.
- Specific experience installing and servicing Class 1 and Class 2 cabinets.
- Valid UK driving licence.
- Residence in or near the Derby area.
Required skills
- Installation of fume cupboards.
- Servicing of Class 1 and Class 2 cabinets.
- DOP testing procedures.

- Salary £40,000‑£45,000 per annum (OTE up to £50,000).
