Field Service Engineer – Electrical (Medical Devices)

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Field Service Engineer (Electrical) to join a leading global provider of medical devices. The role involves specialist training on mobile, hybrid and relocatable medical equipment and will primarily cover the South of England with occasional nationwide travel.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out routine electrical maintenance, inspections, testing and repairs on medical machines.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical faults on a variety of equipment.
• Plan work two weeks in advance while also responding to reactive maintenance requests.
• Travel to NHS and private healthcare sites across the UK.
• Participate in on‑call duties with additional pay.

Required profile

• City & Guilds 2391 qualification.
• 18th edition Electrical Installation Regulations compliance.
• Willingness to commute mainly within the South of England and travel nationwide when required.

Required skills

• Electrical maintenance.
• Fault diagnosis.
• Experience with medical equipment servicing.

• Salary £40,000‑£50,000 per year (OTE £60,000‑£75,000).
