Field Service Engineer

About the role

You will join a family‑run lift service company with a 25‑year heritage, applying your mechanical or electro‑mechanical background to the lift industry. The position is permanent, full‑time, Monday‑Friday 8am‑5pm, based on client sites across South London.

Key responsibilities

• Undertake routine and periodic maintenance at a variety of client locations.
• Respond promptly to emergency service calls and diagnose repair requirements.
• Carry out on‑site repairs, replace and service equipment, machinery and lift systems.
• Provide technical support and guidance to clients on equipment usage and maintenance.
• Document all service and repair activities accurately and maintain detailed records.
• Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure seamless service delivery.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Service Engineer or Electro/Mechanical Engineer, preferably in the lift or a similar industry.
• Relevant qualification such as HNC, HND, BTech, NVQ or equivalent; EOR202 is desirable.
• Strong problem‑solving ability and capacity to work independently or as part of a team.
• Valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel to client sites.
