Field Service Engineer – M25 & Greater London

About the role

We are seeking a Field Service Engineer to cover the M25, Central London and surrounding areas. The role is fully field‑based, travelling from home to customer sites to service, maintain, inspect and repair specialist workshop equipment. You will join an established specialist engineering business serving the commercial vehicle and heavy‑duty workshop sector.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and servicing of workshop equipment.
• Perform mechanical, electrical and hydraulic fault finding.
• Attend breakdowns and complete repairs on site.
• Inspect equipment, identify defects and replace faulty components.
• Produce service reports and complete technical documentation.
• Manage your workload and service schedule efficiently.
• Provide a professional, safe service to customers independently.
• Undertake manufacturer‑specific technical training.

Required profile

• Experience in HGV, commercial vehicle, heavy plant, forklift, material handling, GSE, agricultural or garage equipment engineering.
• Current or recent role as Field Service Engineer, HGV Technician, Plant Fitter, Forklift Engineer, Mobile Engineer or similar.
• Strong mechanical maintenance and repair abilities with practical fault‑finding experience.
• Exposure to electrical and hydraulic systems.
