Field Service Engineer – Nitrogen/Oxygen Generators

About the role

We are seeking a Field Service Engineer to join a family‑feel company that specialises in industrial air compressors and nitrogen/oxygen generators. You will work within a 75‑mile radius of Nottingham, providing installation, maintenance and servicing for a diverse client base that includes manufacturing, laboratories, the MoD and oil & gas sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites across the East Midlands, up to Leeds and down to Birmingham.
• Perform installation, routine servicing and corrective maintenance on air compressors and nitrogen/oxygen generators.
• Diagnose faults, replace components and ensure equipment operates to manufacturer specifications.
• Maintain accurate service records and report on job completion.
• Adhere to health and safety standards while working on‑site.

Required profile

• Proven experience with air compressors or nitrogen/oxygen generator systems.
• Ability to work independently and manage a local patch of sites.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills.
• Willingness to be home most nights, with occasional overtime as needed.
