Field Service Engineer – Semiconductor

About the role

The Field Service Engineer will provide on‑site technical support for semiconductor RF products across the UK and Europe. You will act as the primary contact for customers, handling product repairs, installations and troubleshooting while supporting business development activities.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to customer technical queries via email and telephone.
• Prepare repair summaries, quotations and manage the repair process.
• Install, maintain and troubleshoot RF products at customer sites.
• Support the business development team with technical expertise.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety and IT policies.
• Travel regularly throughout the UK and Europe for on‑site support.

Required profile

• Degree or experience in Electronic Engineering.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint) at an intermediate level.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Experience working in an engineering environment.
• Soldering experience.
• Knowledge of RF and DC power supplies, impedance matching, or plasma chambers is desirable.
• Familiarity with workplace health & safety and RF measuring equipment is a plus.
