Field Service Engineer (Southeast UK)

About the role

FP Mailing Solutions UK is seeking a proactive Field Service Engineer to install, maintain and repair mailing and shipping equipment for customers across the Southeast region of the UK. You will act as the face of the business, delivering high‑quality technical support while upholding safety and professionalism.

Key responsibilities

• Install, commission and configure FP franking equipment at customer sites.
• Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing to maximise equipment reliability.
• Collect old equipment and deliver Folder Inserter Machines.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, software and connectivity faults.
• Repair or replace faulty components to minimise downtime.
• Respond to service calls within agreed SLA targets and provide timely resolutions.
• Provide operational guidance and basic user training to customers.
• Complete service reports, job documentation and update systems using company tools.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Field Service Engineer or similar customer‑facing technical role.
• Technical qualification or relevant experience in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics or Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong fault‑finding and diagnostic abilities across mechanical, electrical and software equipment.
• Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel throughout the assigned territory.
