Field Service Support Engineer

About the role

Join a fast‑growing MedTech start‑up as a Field Service Support Engineer, providing on‑site and remote technical assistance for advanced electro‑mechanical medical equipment used in UK hospitals. You will act as the primary technical liaison between the company and senior clinical and engineering stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver on‑site and remote support for electro‑mechanical medical devices.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical and software faults.
• Install, commission and configure equipment at customer locations.
• Perform routine servicing, preventative maintenance and system upgrades.
• Analyse performance data to identify root causes and recommend improvements.
• Escalate complex issues to internal engineering and product teams.
• Maintain accurate service records, reports and documentation.
• Provide basic user training and technical guidance to end‑users.

Required profile

• Proven experience supporting electro‑mechanical equipment or systems.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electronic and software‑driven devices.
• Ability to read technical drawings, schematics and system documentation.
• Excellent problem‑solving and analytical abilities.
• Clear communication skills for interacting with senior customers.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively across the UK.
