Field Service Technician – Power Industry (Glasgow)

About the role

This permanent position is for a Field Service Technician supporting the power industry across the UK. Based in Glasgow, you will receive full industry‑specific training and a clear progression route towards an engineering role.

Key responsibilities

• Install, maintain and relocate condition monitoring equipment on high‑voltage substations across the UK.
• Carry out site surveys and electrical testing to verify system performance.
• Prepare accurate technical reports and documentation for each job.
• Travel regularly from Glasgow to other locations as required.

Required profile

• Minimum HNC (or equivalent) electrical qualification.
• At least one year of experience installing and maintaining electrical equipment.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Commitment to a long‑term career in the power industry.

Required skills

• Installation of condition monitoring equipment.
• Maintenance and relocation of high‑voltage assets.
• Electrical testing and commissioning.
• Site surveying and technical reporting.
