Finance Administrator (Part‑time, Temporary)

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Finance Administrator to support our growing finance team on a part‑time, temporary basis. The role involves handling day‑to‑day financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and providing essential administrative assistance to the Finance Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Process purchase and sales invoices accurately and efficiently.
• Match, batch, and code invoices.
• Manage supplier statements and reconcile accounts.
• Process supplier payments and assist with bank reconciliations.
• Post journals where required and support month‑end procedures.
• Maintain financial records using Sage.
• Produce reports and analyse data using Excel.
• Support credit control and chase outstanding payments.
• Assist the Finance Manager with ad‑hoc finance duties.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Finance Assistant, Accounts Assistant or similar role.
• Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent organisational and time‑management abilities.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Required skills

• Sage (Sage 50 or Sage Business Cloud preferred).
• Microsoft Excel – including VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, SUMIF/SUMIFS, data sorting and filtering.
