Finance Analyst (Regulatory Reporting)

About the role

This position offers a fantastic opportunity to join a well‑established financial services organisation as a Finance Analyst specialising in regulatory reporting. You will work within a collaborative finance team, supporting the delivery of regulatory returns and finance data management while interacting with Finance, Risk, Treasury and Operations stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and support the submission of regulatory returns, ensuring accuracy, completeness and timely delivery.
• Develop and maintain the regulatory reporting framework and associated documentation.
• Monitor regulatory developments and ensure reporting processes remain compliant.
• Maintain and enhance reporting controls, procedures and supporting documentation.
• Investigate and resolve data quality issues, reporting discrepancies and system exceptions.
• Perform reconciliations between source systems, the general ledger and regulatory reporting outputs.
• Maintain key finance and reporting reference data and support data‑governance activities.
• Collaborate with Finance, Risk, Treasury, Operations and Technology teams to resolve reporting and data‑integrity issues.
• Support system changes, reporting enhancements and testing activities.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting efficiency, automation and controls.
• Assist with regulatory change initiatives, audit requests and ad‑hoc reporting requirements.

Required profile

• Previous experience in regulatory reporting within banking, financial services or a regulated environment.
• Studying towards ACA, ACCA or CIMA is encouraged, though not essential.
• Strong understanding of finance processes, controls and data management.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities with high attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills for presenting complex information to diverse stakeholders.
• Comfortable working in a deadline‑driven, highly controlled environment.
• Proactive attitude with a genuine interest in process improvement and automation.
