Finance Analyst – Retail Shrinkage

About the role

We are looking for a Finance Analyst to join our Retail Finance team and support the wider Savers business. You will deliver accurate financial reporting and analysis across shrinkage, security costs and store performance, helping to keep our P&L, balance sheet and forecasts in great shape.

Key responsibilities

• Support shrinkage reporting and analysis across the business, providing clear, timely insight for decision‑making.
• Own the full month‑end process for shrinkage, ensuring the P&L is accurate and compliant with accounting standards.
• Build an understanding of stock loss drivers to support forecasting and identify improvement opportunities.
• Manage security‑related costs such as CCTV and guarding, using trend reporting to balance cost efficiency with store needs.
• Collaborate with the Retail Finance Manager and business owners on contract reviews and commercial discussions.
• Control costs across key areas, maintaining well‑managed balance sheets and insightful forecasts.
• Produce and maintain store performance reports covering profitability, seasonal trends and sales analysis.
• Provide ad‑hoc analysis for the Retail Finance Manager and field teams on topics such as sales and ESG.

Required profile

• Experience delivering accurate financial reporting and analysis in a retail environment.
• Ability to turn data into clear, practical insight for stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of stock loss drivers and month‑end processes.
• Proven capability to manage cost control and forecasting activities.
