Finance Analyst – Temporary (3 months)

About the role

Our client in Swindon is seeking a proactive Finance Analyst to join their finance team on a three‑month temporary basis. The role supports a range of finance activities while covering an employee absence, with the possibility of extension based on business needs.

Key responsibilities

• Support month‑end close and financial reporting activities
• Assist with deferred revenue reporting and reconciliations
• Provide documentation and data preparation for internal and external audits
• Help with tax and compliance tasks, including general ledger analysis
• Support statutory and regulatory reporting such as CIS returns and ONS surveys
• Assist accounts payable, handling vendor queries and issue resolution
• Prepare and assist with balance‑sheet reconciliations
• Support fixed‑asset administration, including project close‑out and capitalisation
• Deliver general administrative and analytical support to the finance team
• Contribute to ad‑hoc finance projects as required

Required profile

• Proactive, adaptable and able to work both independently and collaboratively
• Highly organised with the capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• Strong Excel skills

What we offer

• Hourly rate of £20.51 (approximately £40,000 FTE equivalent)
• Full‑time schedule: 37.5 hours per week, Monday‑Friday 08:30‑16:40
• 3‑month fixed‑term contract with potential for extension
