Finance Assistant – 1 Year Fixed-Term

About the role

Three Bridges Recruitment is partnering with a respected charitable organisation to hire a Finance Assistant on a 1‑year fixed‑term contract. You will join a friendly finance team at a time of transformation, supporting the move to more efficient, technology‑driven processes while handling day‑to‑day financial operations.

Key responsibilities

• Process purchase invoices and maintain the purchase ledger.
• Prepare weekly supplier payment runs and process electronic payments for approval.
• Manage petty cash and company credit‑card reconciliations.
• Support staff purchasing processes and finance system integrations.
• Process supplier statements and reconcile accounts.
• Assist with payroll administration, timesheet processing and pension administration.
• Prepare sales invoices and support credit control activities.
• Assist with month‑end reporting, financial analysis and audit preparation.
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
• Contribute to the review and improvement of finance processes and support transformation projects.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Finance Assistant, Accounts Assistant or in bookkeeping.
• A finance‑related qualification or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong bookkeeping and transactional finance experience.
• Experience processing purchase and sales invoices.
• Good understanding of reconciliations, payments and financial controls.
