Finance Assistant – Credit Control & Cashier

About the role

Join a respected boutique law firm in Central London as a Finance Assistant, combining credit control and legal cashiering duties. You will work within a small, supportive finance team and have direct exposure to senior partners and fee earners, influencing the firm’s cash flow and financial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the end‑to‑end credit control process, including aged debt monitoring and cash collection.
• Build and maintain relationships with partners, fee earners and clients to resolve billing queries.
• Perform legal cashiering tasks such as reconciliations, client and office account transactions.
• Support broader finance administration and, after nine months, assist with management accounts.

Required profile

• Previous credit control experience in a legal or professional services environment.
• Strong understanding of debt collection, aged debt management and stakeholder engagement.
• Experience in a small‑to‑medium business setting is desirable.
• Proactive, detail‑oriented and able to work across multiple finance functions.
