Finance Assistant – Immediate Start

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Finance Assistant to join our busy office in Paddock Wood. The role is full‑time, office‑based and starts immediately, supporting the finance team with day‑to‑day transactional activities.

Key responsibilities

• Process purchase ledger invoices accurately and efficiently.
• Assist with sales ledger duties, including raising invoices and credit notes.
• Perform credit control, chase outstanding payments and resolve invoice queries.
• Enter data and maintain accurate financial records.
• Handle customer enquiries by phone and email, delivering excellent service.
• Support the wider finance team with daily transactional finance tasks and general administration.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Finance Assistant, Accounts Assistant, Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger or Credit Control.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Confident, professional telephone manner and good communication skills.
• Ability to manage workload, prioritize tasks and work independently.
• Immediately available or able to start on short notice.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Experience using Microsoft Office applications.
