Finance Assistant

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and detail‑oriented Finance Assistant to join our growing finance team at Joslin Rhodes. This dedicated finance role is ideal for someone with prior experience in finance, accounts, or bookkeeping, and offers the chance to develop knowledge across multiple finance areas while supporting day‑to‑day operations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the finance inbox and respond to queries promptly and professionally.
• Raise, process and maintain sales and purchase invoices and purchase orders.
• Support accounts payable and receivable processes, including bank reconciliations.
• Assist with credit control activities and customer account management.
• Help prepare and process payroll.
• Prepare and maintain financial reports, schedules and reconciliation records.
• Support month‑end processes and finance reporting requirements.
• Liaise with colleagues, suppliers and external providers on finance matters.
• Identify opportunities to improve finance processes and controls.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 months experience in a finance‑related role such as Finance Assistant, Accounts Assistant or Bookkeeper.
• Strong numerical, analytical and problem‑solving abilities with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing competing priorities.
• Professional communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Positive, proactive and accountable approach to work.

• Experience using Xero accounting software
