Finance Assistant – Purchase Ledger & Accounts Payable

About the role
We are seeking a Finance Assistant to support the financial operations of Brighton’s heritage charity, Royal Pavilion & Museums Trust. The role focuses on purchase ledger and accounts payable tasks within a dynamic cultural environment.
Key responsibilities
- Process supplier invoices, payments, expenses and cash transactions in line with financial controls.
- Manage purchase ledger activities, resolve supplier queries and reconcile accounts.
- Support VAT returns and month‑end closing processes.
- Maintain effective purchasing systems and provide ad‑hoc assistance for the sales ledger and office administration.
Required profile
- Experience in purchase ledger, accounts payable or finance administration.
- Ability to handle high volumes of invoices and perform accurate supplier reconciliations.
- Good understanding of financial controls and purchase order processes.
- Strong attention to detail.
