Finance Assistant – Treasury & Reporting Support

About the role

Join Reed’s global challenger network as a Finance Assistant, supporting a range of treasury, tax, reporting and compliance activities. This temporary position offers exposure to multiple finance functions within a dynamic, innovative environment, ideal for early‑career professionals seeking rapid development.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare daily bank reconciliations and manage online bank access and account maintenance.
• Assist with the weekly short‑term cash‑flow forecast.
• Prepare Group tax returns.
• Perform monthly control checks on balance sheets and review intercompany consolidations.
• Support the year‑end audit process and the preparation of statutory accounts.
• Assist in preparing management accounts for the Group holding companies.
• Prepare and submit monthly/annual National Statistic surveys and review policy compliance.
• Assist with the insurance process and other compliance tasks.
• Provide ad‑hoc support to the wider Group Finance team.

Required profile

• Previous experience in an accounts or finance department at an assistant level (AAT qualification preferred).
• High accuracy and strong attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, comfortable interacting with all business levels.
• Well‑organised, flexible and able to meet changing deadlines.
• Strong sense of ownership and pride in work.
• Ability to work independently while supporting the wider team.

Required skills

• Intermediate Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, SUMIF and data linking.
