Finance Business Partner – 12‑Month Fixed‑Term

About the role

This 12‑month fixed‑term position offers a highly visible finance business partnering opportunity within a large, multi‑site organisation in Scotland. You will work closely with senior stakeholders to provide commercial insight, financial analysis and robust challenge that drives strategic and operational decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with senior managers and budget holders, delivering financial guidance, support and challenge.
• Produce accurate monthly management reports and insightful financial analysis.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities.
• Analyse performance, identify risks, opportunities and trends.
• Develop financial models, scenario analyses and business cases for decision‑making.
• Translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for non‑finance audiences.
• Support financial management of funded projects and other initiatives.
• Drive improvements to financial processes, reporting and controls.
• Contribute to year‑end reporting and broader finance team objectives.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (or actively working towards qualification) with commercial finance experience.
• Proven track record in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and performance analysis.
• Strong business‑partnering ability with experience influencing senior stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills, able to present financial information clearly to non‑finance audiences.
• Commercially focused with strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
