Finance Business Partner – FP&A

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Finance Business Partner to join the Financial Planning & Analysis team of a leading national law firm. In this senior position you will act as a trusted finance partner to senior leaders, providing commercial insight, financial challenge and strategic support that shapes decision‑making across Business Services functions.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting and performance reporting for multiple Business Services areas.
• Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, producing insightful management information and meaningful KPIs.
• Support strategic decisions through robust financial modelling, investment appraisals and scenario planning.
• Identify financial risks and opportunities, and provide constructive challenge to senior stakeholders.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of reporting processes, planning capability and financial systems.
• Mentor and develop junior members of the FP&A team.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with strong experience in FP&A or finance business partnering.
• Excellent analytical and financial modelling abilities, with clear, commercially‑focused communication.
• Proven track record of influencing senior stakeholders and building relationships.
• Experience in a complex, multi‑stakeholder environment; legal or professional services background is a plus.
