Finance Business Support Assistant (Temporary)

About the role

We are looking for a Finance Business Support Assistant to join our team on a 2‑month temporary contract. You will work closely with the Finance Business Partner, helping to maintain robust controls around pricing, promotions and margin data.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse profitability by channel, customer and SKU.
• Administer and process all price changes, including annual reviews and ad‑hoc updates.
• Manage the day‑to‑day credit note process and suggest improvements.
• Support New Product Development financial assessments and gate approvals.
• Calculate and reconcile customer rebates and overriders.
• Prepare regular reports on pricing, rebates and other commercial metrics.
• Collaborate with finance and commercial teams to meet business objectives.
• Undertake additional duties as required to support the finance function.

Required profile

• Degree in finance, accounting or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
• Understanding of basic accounting and commercial principles such as accruals, reconciliations, ledger management and P&L.
• At least 1 year of experience in a commercial finance‑related role.
• Experience in a fast‑paced FMCG environment is desirable but not mandatory.
• Exposure to pricing, margin analysis or commercial finance processes is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with financial software or ERP systems.
