Finance Cost Controller

About the role

Join the finance team of Shangri‑La, The Shard as a Finance Cost Controller. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will lead the Accounts Payable function, support Food & Beverage reporting, and partner with Purchasing and operations to drive financial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a two‑person Accounts Payable team and manage aged creditor accounts.
• Provide operational analysis and commercial support to senior management.
• Reconcile inventory holdings, cost of sales and support stock‑count procedures.
• Deliver expert on‑premise system support to Adaco users across the business.
• Prepare month‑end management accounts, balance‑sheet reconciliations, P&L reviews and variance analysis.
• Assist the Finance Manager with annual budgeting, forecasting and ad‑hoc projects.

Required profile

• Strong background in food & beverage cost control within a 4★/5★ hotel environment.
• Interest in luxury hospitality and a commitment to a finance career.
• Fluent oral and written English with excellent communication skills.
• Flexible and adaptable to varying working conditions.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Adaco (essential).
• Familiarity with SUN system (preferable).
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
