Finance Director

About the role

BELECTRIC UK is seeking a Finance Director to act as the CEO’s trusted advisor on financial and commercial matters. You will lead a high‑performing finance function, support the company’s growth ambitions and help shape the future of renewable energy in the UK.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement financial strategy, forecasting, budgeting and investment planning.
• Oversee cash‑flow management, working capital and lead finance‑related projects.
• Lead, mentor and develop the accounting and finance team of six.
• Communicate financial performance to the Board and parent company, and manage external auditor relationships.
• Ensure compliance, internal controls and risk‑management frameworks.
• Assess financial viability of new renewable‑energy projects, M&A activities and support sustainable financing models.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with senior finance leadership experience, preferably in energy, infrastructure or industrial sectors.
• Proven ability to operate in high‑growth, entrepreneurial environments.
• Strong commercial awareness, strategic thinking and stakeholder management skills.
• High integrity and confidence to partner directly with the CEO.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems, specifically MS Dynamics 365.
