Finance Director

About the role

The organisation is a privately‑owned, multi‑entity group undergoing rapid growth, acquisitions and technology transformation. Reporting directly to the Group Chief Executive Officer, the Finance Director will lead both finance and IT functions, ensuring robust financial performance and modernised systems.

Key responsibilities

• Own consolidated statutory reporting across multiple legal entities.
• Lead month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close processes.
• Manage relationships with auditors, tax advisers and banking partners.
• Ensure compliance with UK statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Support senior leadership on corporate activities, due diligence and integration.
• Oversee cash flow, treasury and working‑capital optimisation.
• Build, lead and develop a high‑performing finance team.
• Define and execute IT strategy, infrastructure and service delivery.
• Manage core business systems, IT budget and supplier relationships.
• Ensure data security, risk management and business continuity.
• Drive system improvement and transformation initiatives.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with significant post‑qualification experience.
• Proven experience in complex, multi‑entity organisations and group reporting.
• Strong knowledge of UK statutory and regulatory frameworks.
• Demonstrated leadership ability to build and manage teams.
• Comfortable operating across finance and IT functions.

Required skills

What we offer

• Base salary £130,000–£150,000 per year.
• Annual bonus up to 15%.
• 5% employer pension contribution.
