Finance Director – Renewable Energy

About the role

BELECTRIC UK is seeking a Finance Director to act as the CEO’s trusted commercial advisor and lead a high‑performing finance function. You will shape financial strategy, support business growth, and ensure robust risk and compliance frameworks for a fast‑growing renewable energy business.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement financial strategy, overseeing forecasting, budgeting and investment planning.
• Manage cash flow, working capital and lead finance‑related projects.
• Lead, mentor and develop a team of six accounting and finance professionals.
• Communicate financial performance to the Board and parent company, and manage external auditor relationships.
• Ensure compliance, internal controls and risk‑management frameworks.
• Assess financial viability of new renewable energy projects, M&A opportunities and support sustainable financing models.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
• Proven senior finance leadership experience, preferably in energy, infrastructure or industrial sectors.
• Experience in high‑growth, entrepreneurial environments and international corporate structures.
• Strong commercial awareness, strategic thinking and ability to influence senior teams.
• High integrity and capability to partner directly with the CEO.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems, specifically MS Dynamics 365.
• Experience with financial reporting tools.
