Finance Internship – Broughton (12.5 months)

About the role

This 12.5‑month finance placement at Airbus in Broughton offers undergraduate students hands‑on experience supporting wing production budgeting, cost reporting and forecasting. You will work alongside the finance team, see wings being built, and observe the Beluga aircraft transporting components.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial reports analysing actual costs and revenues.
• Update forecast models and post monthly accruals and journals.
• Liaise with finance colleagues and business operations teams to manage stakeholder relationships.
• Support continuous‑improvement projects aimed at efficiency and sustainability.
• Analyse labour efficiency and produce related reports.
• Report on risks and opportunities.
• Participate in team‑building activities, charity challenges and organise social events.

Required profile

• Undergraduate studying Finance, Accounting, Business or a related field (minimum two years completed).
• Strong teamwork, autonomous work ethic and excellent written and verbal communication.
• Logical, analytical problem‑solving approach with curiosity about the broader business picture.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines while maintaining quality.
• Willingness to explain accounting concepts to non‑finance audiences.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Google Suite (Sheets, Slides, Docs) or Microsoft Office equivalents.
