Finance Internship – Engineering Controlling, Filton

About the role

This 12.5‑month Finance placement is based in Filton, Bristol, within Airbus' Engineering Financial Controlling team. You will support financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting for the engineering function that designs and tests wings and landing gear. The role offers hands‑on experience in a fast‑paced, multinational aerospace environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial reports analysing actual costs.
• Update forecast models and liaise with Finance and Business Operations teams.
• Support transnational improvement projects across Europe.
• Produce cost‑scenario analyses and hourly‑rate reporting.
• Participate in team‑building activities and help organise events.

Required profile

• Undergraduate studying Finance, Accounting or a related discipline (minimum two years completed).
• Strong teamwork, autonomous working style and good written and verbal communication.
• Logical, analytical approach to problem‑solving and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Curiosity about the wider business and ability to explain accounting concepts to non‑finance colleagues.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Google Suite (Sheets, Slides, Docs) or Microsoft Office equivalents.
• Experience using Excel for data analysis and reporting.
