Finance Lead / Management Accountant (Hybrid, Edinburgh)

About the role

We are partnering with a fast‑growing creative business in Edinburgh to hire a Finance Lead who will shape the finance function and influence strategic decisions. Working closely with the COO, CEO and senior leadership, you will turn financial data into actionable insight.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts, variance analysis and clear commentary.
• Develop cash‑flow forecasts, budgeting and rolling forecasts.
• Build financial models to assess project profitability and resource planning.
• Improve finance systems, controls and reporting processes.
• Explore automation and AI opportunities to make finance smarter.
• Support and constructively challenge colleagues across the business.

Required profile

• Qualified, newly qualified or strong ACCA, CIMA or ACA finalist (study support available).
• Confident with management accounts, forecasting, cash‑flow and Excel.
• Excellent communication skills to explain finance clearly and build trusted relationships.
• Experience in an SME, agency, digital, creative or service‑led environment is a plus.
• A desire to progress towards senior finance leadership.
