Finance Manager – 12‑Month Fixed‑Term Contract

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join a leading legal firm in Central London on a 12‑month fixed‑term basis. The role offers a hybrid working model and involves overseeing the full spectrum of the firm’s finance function.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports for senior stakeholders and partners.
• Manage month‑end and year‑end accounting processes, including purchase and sales ledgers, credit control, and daily banking.
• Monitor cash flow, produce forecasts, and manage client and office accounts in line with solicitors’ accounts rules.
• Complete balance‑sheet reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and support budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Liaise with external auditors, accountants, and professional advisers to ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a finance role within a legal firm or professional services environment.
• Strong knowledge of management accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships at all business levels.
• Proactive, hands‑on approach with strong organisational abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
