Finance Manager – 1‑Year Fixed‑Term

About the role

Active Lincolnshire is seeking a Finance Manager for a 1‑year fixed‑term contract. The role combines 22 hours per week of maternity cover for day‑to‑day finance operations with up to 15 hours per week dedicated to building new financial workflows that support the charity’s rapid expansion.

Key responsibilities

• Process purchase invoices, manage ledgers and reconcile bank and balance‑sheet accounts.
• Maintain and reconcile contract budgets, grant allocations and multi‑stream funder accounts.
• Develop and embed robust financial processes and internal controls across the organisation.
• Produce accurate financial reports for budget holders and external funders.
• Support project leads with financial tracking and reporting at every stage.

Required profile

• Experience in operational finance within a charity or non‑profit environment.
• Strong understanding of grant and multi‑stream funding compliance.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage financial architecture.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.

Required skills

• Transactional finance processing (invoices, purchase orders, ledger management).
• Bank and balance‑sheet reconciliation.
• Financial reporting and budgeting.
• Internal control design and implementation.
