About the role

Our client, a growing SME manufacturing business, is seeking a Finance Manager to own the finance function, drive process improvements, and support strategic decision‑making. This role offers a qualified accountant the chance to work in a commercially focused, dynamic environment and make a real impact.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee day‑to‑day finance operations, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and insightful commentary.
  • Lead budgeting and forecasting processes, supporting senior stakeholders with decision‑making.
  • Maintain and continuously improve robust financial controls.
  • Manage statutory reporting, including year‑end accounts and audit processes.
  • Drive process and system improvements across the finance function.

Required profile

  • ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified.
  • Proven experience in a manufacturing or SME environment (highly desirable).
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong systems capability.
