Finance Manager – Glasgow

About the role

This permanent Finance Manager position is with an established sustainability firm in Glasgow. You will lead the finance function of a growing SME, preparing management accounts and supporting the business’s strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and variance analysis.
• Conduct cash‑flow analysis and reporting.
• Oversee purchase and sales invoicing, payment runs and expense processing.
• Perform month‑end journal entries, including accruals, pre‑payments, payroll and fixed‑asset depreciation.
• Manage balance‑sheet reconciliations, VAT returns and credit‑card/petty‑cash control.
• Supervise a finance assistant and ensure accurate bank reconciliations.

Required profile

• Experience in a similar finance role within an SME environment.
• Proven ability to produce management accounts and handle transactional finance.
• Strong interpersonal, organisational and technical capabilities.
