Finance Manager – Hotel

About the role

Marc Daniels is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead the finance function of a busy hotel in London. You will be responsible for accurate reporting, strong financial controls and partnering with operational teams to drive commercial decisions and maintain USALI‑aligned standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead month‑end close, management accounts, balance‑sheet reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Prepare daily, weekly, monthly and annual financial reports for hotel management and owners.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, income audit, payroll, cash management and bank reconciliations.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and re‑forecasting processes, including revenue and cost analysis.
• Partner with operational leaders to improve financial performance, cost control and decision‑making.
• Maintain strong internal controls, compliance and audit readiness.
• Review inventory, purchasing and cost controls across departments, especially F&B and other revenue streams.
• Ensure reporting follows USALI principles and hotel industry standards.

Required profile

• Fully qualified accountant – ACA, ACCA or CIMA.
• Previous experience as Finance Manager, Financial Controller or Senior Management Accountant within a hotel or hospitality environment.
• Strong understanding of hotel accounting processes, including income audit, payroll, AP/AR and month‑end procedures.
• Working knowledge of USALI and hotel reporting structures.
• Experience preparing management accounts, budgets, forecasts and board‑level reports.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Property Management System (PMS) or comparable hotel software.
