Finance Manager

About the role

This Finance Manager role leads the client accounting function for a respected professional services organisation. Working on a flexible/hybrid basis, you will oversee client money operations, financial controls and reporting across a diverse property and asset portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all client accounting activities, including rent, service charge accounting, receipts, payments, reconciliations and reporting.
• Ensure accurate maintenance of client ledgers and bank accounts, reviewing and approving client money transactions.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly and annual reconciliations, producing statements, cash summaries and bespoke financial reports.
• Maintain compliance with industry regulations, internal policies and audit requirements, supporting internal and external audits.
• Lead, mentor and develop a high‑performing client accounting team, allocating workloads to meet service levels.
• Act as primary finance contact for operational teams, clients and external stakeholders, providing financial guidance.
• Identify and implement process improvements, automation and system enhancements.

Required profile

• Strong technical accounting expertise with experience in client money handling.
• Proven ability to manage complex reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Leadership experience, capable of mentoring and developing a team.
• Proactive attitude towards process improvement and operational excellence.
