Finance Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join a growing business in Hertford. Reporting to the Finance Director, you will be hands‑on in financial strategy, commercial decision‑making and business improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Own management accounts, budgeting and forecasting.
• Deliver timely and accurate financial reporting and analysis.
• Build and maintain robust financial models in Excel.
• Identify business risks and propose practical solutions.
• Support strategic and commercial projects.
• Manage and develop junior finance team members.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the business.
• Drive continuous improvement of financial processes and controls.
• Lead a small finance team.

Required profile

• Fully qualified (or nearing completion) ACCA, ACA, CIMA or QBE.
• Experience as a Senior Accountant/Finance Manager or deputy to a Finance Director.
• Strong commercial awareness and analytical capability.
• Advanced Excel skills, including financial modelling and data analysis.
• Proven experience managing and developing staff.
• Confident communicator able to influence stakeholders at all levels.

What we offer

• Salary up to £60,000, dependent on experience and qualifications.
