Finance Manager

About the role

SRM Recruitment are working with a leading late‑stage biotech organisation that is scaling its finance function. The Finance Manager will join on an initial six‑month contract, reporting to the Head of Finance and overseeing day‑to‑day finance activities, accurate reporting, strong controls and effective planning.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting, including management accounts, variance analysis, group reporting and month‑end close.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, cash‑flow management and commercial financial analysis to aid business decision‑making.
• Oversee statutory reporting, tax compliance, VAT returns, payment approvals and audit readiness, ensuring strong governance and financial controls.
• Drive continuous improvement across finance systems, processes and reporting, supporting ERP optimisation and partnering with operational teams to enhance efficiency.

Required profile

• Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) is essential.
• Strong technical accounting and financial reporting expertise.
• Experience in a multi‑entity, multi‑currency environment using ERP systems (NetSuite experience advantageous).
• Strong analytical, organisational and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to improve processes and manage competing priorities.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, evolving organisation.
