Finance Manager

About the role

Our client is a specialist AI consulting business that helps organisations improve performance and drive transformation. They are seeking a Finance Manager to own the day‑to‑day finance function and support the next phase of growth.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of daily finance operations, ensuring accurate reporting and robust controls.
• Partner with senior leadership to provide commercial insight and support decision‑making.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, board reports and financial analysis.
• Maintain accurate records in Xero, including journals, accruals and reconciliations.
• Assist with pricing, financial modelling for client proposals and bids.
• Manage purchase orders, invoicing, debt collection and working capital.
• Oversee weekly payment runs, supplier payments and cash‑flow forecasts.
• Prepare payroll data for the outsourced provider and review outputs.
• Review VAT returns before submission and support statutory accounts preparation.
• Provide financial insight to colleagues across the business.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with at least one year post‑qualification experience.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and high commercial awareness.
• Excellent analytical ability, attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication skills with stakeholders at all levels.
• Resilience and ambition to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑performance environment.
