Finance Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Finance Manager to lead the financial operations of Office Angels in West Sussex. The role combines day‑to‑day financial management with strategic planning to support the organisation’s long‑term sustainability. Flexible working options are available, ranging from term‑time only to full‑year contracts.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.
• Prepare and present monthly management accounts and financial reports to senior leadership.
• Monitor income, expenditure and budget performance, providing variance analysis and financial insight.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, internal policies and governance standards.
• Manage year‑end finance processes and coordinate external audits.
• Oversee cash‑flow management and maintain robust financial controls.
• Direct procurement activities, including tenders and contract reviews, to achieve value for money.
• Maintain and improve financial systems, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
• Support managers with budget planning, expenditure monitoring and financial guidance.
• Develop and mentor members of the finance team.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a Finance Manager, Senior Finance Officer or similar finance leadership role.
• Strong background in budget management, forecasting and financial reporting.
• Proven ability to prepare management accounts and conduct financial analysis.
• Knowledge of financial controls, compliance and audit processes.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Ability to explain financial information to non‑financial stakeholders.
