Finance Manager

About the role

We are looking for a proactive and highly organised Finance Manager to lead the day‑to‑day financial operations of Conferma, a global payment technology company. The role will ensure accurate, timely reporting and support the wider business while maintaining high standards across the finance function.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop the finance team, driving performance and engagement.
• Oversee working capital management and general ledger activities.
• Own the month‑end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Review and approve journals, reconciliations and key balance‑sheet accounts.
• Produce monthly management accounts with detailed analysis and commentary.
• Support external audits and tax compliance in the UK and internationally, preparing documentation and leading responses.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver finance services.

Required profile

• Fully‑qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA or ACA) with strong post‑qualification experience.
• Proven experience leading financial operations and managing a finance team.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and attention to detail.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective communication skills, able to interact at all levels and challenge constructively.

Required skills

• Microsoft Dynamics D365 Business Central (desirable).
