Finance Manager

About the role

We are recruiting for a newly created Finance Manager role with an established and growing company based in Ashford. Working closely with the Finance Director, you will be a technically strong finance professional with proven people management experience and a passion for developing and motivating high‑performing teams.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the month‑end and year‑end reporting processes.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, budgets and cash flow forecasts.
• Oversee statutory reporting, VAT returns and the annual audit.
• Review financial performance, investigating variances and identifying improvements.
• Lead, develop and motivate the finance team.
• Support the Finance Director with business projects, including the implementation of a new accounting system in 2027.
• Drive continuous improvement across finance processes, controls and systems.

Required profile

• Qualified (ACCA or equivalent) with strong accounts experience supporting multiple entity requirements.
• Proficient with VAT returns, cash‑flow management and financial reporting.
• Ability to manage a varied finance team at different levels.
• Self‑motivated and able to manage multiple priorities independently.
• Technically minded with exemplary people management skills.
• Experience using Sage 50.
