Finance Manager – Part‑time (3 days/week)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Finance Manager to join a well‑established, mission‑driven organisation in Stevenage on a part‑time basis (three days per week). Reporting to the Finance Director, you will lead the day‑to‑day finance function and a small team.

Key responsibilities

• Support and mentor a Finance Assistant
• Oversee transactional finance activities (Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll support)
• Produce monthly management accounts and variance analysis
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and investments
• Prepare statutory accounts and coordinate the year‑end audit process
• Provide financial oversight of capital projects
• Review, improve and implement financial processes and controls
• Support senior leadership with financial analysis and decision‑making

Required profile

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA)
• Strong operational finance background
• Proven experience managing month‑end processes
• Ability to communicate complex financial information to non‑finance stakeholders
• Ability to work onsite three days per week
