Finance Manager – Retail Multi‑Site Business

About the role

We are looking for a Finance Manager to lead the finance function of a fast‑growing, multi‑site retail business in East London. This hands‑on position combines operational oversight with strategic insight, working closely with senior leadership to shape the company’s financial future.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the full finance function, ensuring robust financial controls and delivering insight that drives performance.
• Manage cash flow, banking relationships and reconciliations across multiple locations.
• Lead month‑end closing, management accounts preparation and statutory reporting.
• Oversee payroll, VAT returns and compliance with UK financial regulations.
• Partner with operational teams to drive cost control and profitability.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and long‑term financial planning.
• Maintain supplier contracts, financial records and produce regular operational reports for leadership.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Finance Manager or Accounts Manager, preferably in retail, FMCG or multi‑site environments.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, reconciliations and internal controls.
• Solid understanding of VAT, payroll and UK statutory requirements.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, ACA or CIMA.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
