Finance Manager – Sustainable Packaging

About the role

The Finance Manager will join a leading specialist manufacturing and distribution group that provides sustainable packaging solutions. Based in Biggleswade, you will partner with senior leaders and operational teams across the UK, supporting commercial and strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly and annual management accounts, including accruals, pre‑payments, balance‑sheet reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Oversee transactional finance activities across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and the General Ledger.
• Support cash collection, cash‑flow forecasting and working‑capital management.
• Present financial performance and commercial insights to the UK Leadership Team.
• Drive budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning processes.
• Monitor pricing, product margins and project costings.
• Travel to UK sites to support business partnering and finance projects.
• Ensure statutory and tax reporting compliance and support annual audits.
• Lead finance transformation and process‑improvement initiatives, including ERP system enhancements.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification.
• Minimum five years post‑qualification experience in a commercial finance environment.
• Strong management‑accounting and financial‑reporting background.
• Proven experience partnering with operational and commercial stakeholders.
• Experience in multi‑entity or group reporting.
• Track record of delivering finance transformation or systems projects.
• Legal right to work in the UK.
