Finance Manager – Transactions

About the role

West Kent Housing Association is seeking an ambitious Finance Manager to lead its Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable (Income and Cash) teams. This senior position combines technical finance expertise with people leadership to support the delivery of homes and services for the community.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop high‑performing AP and AR teams.
• Ensure efficient, accurate and compliant processing of all financial transactions.
• Own key reconciliations, month‑end close activities and cash‑management processes.
• Drive process improvements, automation initiatives and value‑for‑money projects.
• Develop and report meaningful KPIs and performance metrics.
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, auditors, customers and suppliers.

Required profile

• CCAB‑qualified accountant.
• Proven experience leading transactional finance teams.
• Strong knowledge of financial controls, reconciliations and VAT.
• Natural leader who enjoys improving processes and developing people.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems.
